Hey there, everyone! I hope your summer is going great! Can you believe there are only a couple more weeks before school starts? I can't. This summer has flown by!
Today, I added our fifth grade supply list to the website. I know that sometimes the stores run out of lists, so I wanted to make sure you could access it easily. It's also on the J.D. Lever website, and you can check out supply lists for other grades there, as well.
I wanted to mention a couple of things about your supplies. Please don't bring anything larger than a one inch binder. It's really hard to fit larger binders into your desks, and it's very frustrating to find somewhere to keep everything!
Also, we asked that you bring three highlighters: pink, yellow, and green. If you can't find the pink and green ones, please don't worry about it! Some of the other fifth grade teachers use them a certain way, but I don't require those colors. Just bring any highlighter you can find!
Finally, please try to bring all three composition notebooks. In the past, I've had students bring one or two, but not three. We'll be using each of these in a very specific way, so you will need three.
I think that's it for the updates! This is longer than I intended. I'm really looking forward to seeing every single one of you very soon!
Have a great night,
Ms. Dixon

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great summer so far. Just wanted to let you know that I added in some ELA links today. If you go to the curriculum page, then click on the headings for reading, writing, and spelling, you can view a list of websites that'll help you out with those subjects. Lots of the sites have really fun games, so go explore! Hi everyone! I'm really excited about this newest addition to the website - a blog that I can use to let you know about upcoming events, and things going on in our room. The great thing about the blog is that you can leave me comments here, letting me know what you think about the things I've posted, or asking questions you might have. It's a great way for us to communicate! |
